Mural Pricing and FAQ
How much does a mural cost?
Custom mural projects start at $1,000, with larger or more detailed projects ranging from $1,000–$10,000+ depending on the scope of the work. There are a few different factors that play into it.
After an initial consultation, I'll put together a quote based on your vision, the specifics of your space, and the needs of your project.
What goes into the price?
Here are the main factors I consider when estimating the cost of a mural:
1. Size
The larger the wall, the more time and materials are generally required. Square footage is a helpful starting point, but the amount of detail and overall design also play a role in determining the final price.
2. Design Complexity
A simple, minimal design will generally cost less than a highly detailed composition. Realism, layers, detail, faces, and geometric precision require more planning and painting time.
3. Wall Access & Conditions
The location and accessibility of the wall can affect the cost. High walls, uneven ground, obstacles, or difficult working conditions may require additional time or specialized equipment, such as a scissor lift or boom lift.
Wall preparation is also considered when determining the project cost.
4. Location & Travel
I'm based in Seal Beach, near the border of Orange County and Los Angeles. Travel within 30 miles of my base location is included, while projects farther away may require an additional travel fee depending on distance and travel time.
5. Wall surface
Textured walls, brick, or corrugated metal look great when painted, but typically take longer to paint than smooth drywall.
What's included in the price?
Your mural quote includes the labor, design development, paint, and supplies needed to complete the project. Any necessary wall preparation will also be accounted for in the proposal, as well as a travel fee if you are over 30 miles from my base location.
I'll take care of sourcing and purchasing all the materials, so you don't have to worry about shopping for supplies!
Payment & Booking
Once we've discussed your project, I'll provide a proposal outlining the scope of work, estimated timeline, and total price.
To officially book your project:
-
Agreement: We'll both sign a project agreement outlining the details of the work.
-
50% Deposit: A deposit of 50% of the total project cost is required to reserve your spot on my calendar and begin the design process.
-
Final Payment: The remaining 50% is due upon completion of the mural.
I accept cash, check, Venmo, Cash App, and Zelle.

FAQ
Do you travel?
Yes! I'm located near the border of Orange County and Los Angeles. Projects beyond 30 miles from my base location are welcome but may include additional fees. Any travel fee will always be discussed upfront and included in your quote.
Do you do wall prep?
Absolutely! I'll assess the wall and let you know what needs to be done to properly prepare the surface for a long-lasting mural (typically 10–15 years with proper conditions and maintenance). This may also include applying an anti-graffiti coating if necessary.
You're welcome to take care of as much of the recommended prep work yourself as you'd like to save money, or leave it all to me! I'll factor the time and materials into your quote. For extensive preparation, I may bring in a specialist.
Can I make changes once painting starts?
Small tweaks are usually no problem! Larger changes after the design has been approved may affect the timeline and cost. My goal is to make sure you're happy with the finished mural, so don’t be afraid to address any concerns.
Do I need to be there while you paint?
Not necessarily. I just need access to the space on painting days.
What if I'm not sure what I want?
That's totally okay! If you're still exploring possibilities or working within a budget, I will provide a few options at different price points to help you find the right fit.
